Executive Administrator: Charlotte A. Blake
Dr. Jon C. Finley is an Indiana native having grown up in Greensburg. He attended Wabash College graduating Summa Cum Laude with his undergraduate degree in biology. He graduated from medical school and completed his neurology residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed a neuromuscular/electromyography fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Finley is board certified in neurology. He has special interest in research and is working on the national research initiative to improve quality of care in stroke evaluation. He has written multiple publications and presented at national and international levels. He joined Indiana Neuroscience Associates in 2003 and provides patient care at our Noblesville, Crawfordsville, and Tipton, Indiana offices. His practice includes all areas of neurology. Dr. Finley is married to Michele and they have four sons. He enjoys spending time with his family, bicycling and tennis.
Dr. Richard S. French grew up in central Indiana receiving a B.A. at DePauw University. He graduated from medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. French completed his internship and residency at the University of Utah. Dr. French served as a Captain in the United States Army during Vietnam, at the l7th Field Hospital in Saigon. Following his tour of duty, he returned to Utah and completed a neurology residency working as the assistant professor of neurology at the University of Utah. He also held a teaching appointment at the V. A. Hospital in Utah. In l973 he moved back to Indiana to establish a practice at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Dr. French is board certified in neurology. He and his wife, Karen, reside in Indianapolis and have three children.
Dr. Ganesh Ghooray was born in Guyana, immigrated to the United States in 1976 and grew up in California, Pennsylvania. He received his bachelor's degree in behavioral neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh in 1985. He earned a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the Ohio State University in 1992. He studied medicine at the Medical College of Ohio and received his medical degree in 1996. He completed his internship at the Medical College of Ohio and then moved to North Carolina for his neurology residency at Duke University Medical Center. Following completion of his residency, he entered a one-year fellowship program in neuromuscular diseases at Duke. Dr. Ghooray is trained in electromyography and has a special interest in the evaluation and treatment of myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome, dystonia, and peripheral neuropathy. Dr. Ghooray enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie, and three children. He is an avid sports fan, loves to play golf and outdoor sports.
Dr. Jeffrey W. Hilburn grew up in Indianapolis and attended Indiana University in Bloomington. During his time at Indiana University he was a member of the Pre-Medical Honor Society. He completed medical school at Indiana University and completed his internship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He then completed his residency in neurology at Indiana University in l977. Dr. Hilburn is board certified in neurology. He has established a successful practice at St. Vincent Hospital. He is a member of the medical staff at both St. Vincent Hospital and Riverview Hospital in Noblesville and serves on the ethics committee at both hospitals. He is the co-founder and president of the Indiana Stroke Coalition. He is principle investigator for multiple stroke studies. He is chairman of neurology at St. Vincent Hospital. Dr. Hilburn is a member of the Board of Directors for Rehabilitation of Indiana. He and his wife, Debbie, reside in Indianapolis and share three sons and one daughter.
Dr. Mark J. Janicki grew up in East Chicago, Indiana. He attended Indiana University and obtained his medical degree in l982. He also completed an internship in internal medicine and his residency in adult and pediatric neurology at Indiana University. He completed a fellowship in electrophysiology at Indiana University. Dr. Janicki is board certified in both internal medicine and neurology. He was listed on the "Top Doctor" list in the "Indianapolis Monthly" in both 200l and 2003. In addition to his busy practice, he is active with the Medicine Resident teaching program at St. Vincent Hospital. Dr. Janicki and his wife Maribeth reside in Indianapolis with three children.
Dr. Michael H. Levine grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He attended undergraduate school at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He graduated from medical school and completed his neurology residency at the University of Illinois. In his last year of residency, Dr. Levine served as chief resident of the neurology service. He completed his fellowship training in neurophysiology at the University of Iowa. The curriculum involved training in EEG, EMG and sleep medicine. Dr. Levine has experience in all facets of neurophysiology and neurologic testing. Dr. Levine joined Indiana Neuroscience Associates in 1991 and provides patient care at our Noblesville, Kokomo, and St. Vincent 86th Street offices. His practices encompasses all areas of neurology along with a special emphasis on sleep medicine. Dr. Levine is board certified in neurology and sleep disorders. He resides with his wife and family in Indianapolis.
Dr. Abdulkarim Sharba immigrated from Syria where he completed his medical training at Damascus University. Dr. Sharba completed his internship in internal medicine and a neurology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. His special interests include stroke and clinical neurophysiology. Dr. Sharba's recreational interests include horseback riding, hunting, and bicycling.
Dr. A. Charles Simchak grew up in Hammond, Indiana, and obtained a degree in biology at Indiana University Northwest. He completed his medical degree, internship, and residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Simchak completed a fellowship for neuromuscular disorders in 1991. He is board certified in neurology and has established a busy practice in Indianapolis. He has a special interest in headache management, speaking frequently on this subject. Dr. Simchak resides in Indianapolis, enjoying house pets and wild life.
Dr. Caryn M. Vogel grew up in the Midwest and attended high school in Indianapolis. She is a graduate of Indiana University and Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. While in medical school she participated in clinical research on Parkinson's disease and was elected to the National Honor Society. Dr. Vogel completed an internship and neurology residency at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor. She pursued additional training at the University of Michigan with a fellowship in neuromuscular diseases and electromyography. Her fellowship training included extensive clinical work in disorders such as peripheral neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, and muscle disease. Dr. Vogel was board certified in neurology in 1990 and board certified in electrodiagnostic medicine in 1991. In addition to traditional neurology Dr. Vogel received training in medical acupuncture. She maintains an active acupuncture clinic, applying the technique for pain management of neurologic and musculoskeletal conditions. She sees patients in our St. Vincent 86th Street, North, and Greenfield offices. She lives with her husband and two children in Indianapolis.
Dr. Kenten D. Woolhiser grew up in Camby, Oregon. He studied civil engineering at Oregon State University, graduating in 1983. He then went to Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, for postgraduate studies in chemistry and biology. He graduated from Oregon Health and Sciences University in 1993. He then completed his internship in internal medicine at Legacy Health Systems in Portland, Oregon. He and his family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he completed a three year neurology residency at Barrow Neurological Institute. Dr. Woolhiser was chief neurology resident during his years in Phoenix. Dr. Woolhiser moved to Indiana and joined Indiana Neuroscience Associates in the summer of 1997. He has a special interest in seizure disorders and evaluation and treatment of headaches. He is board eligible in general neurology. He and his wife of 14 years, Colleen, have two children. Dr. Woolhiser enjoys all outdoor activities, especially those he can do with his family.
